Detailed Itinerary 1/2

Day 01: Lima – Cusco – City Tour

In the morning: We begin this adventure by taking the Lima – Cusco flight (approx. 1 hour). Upon your arrival in the Imperial City, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel so you can settle in, rest, and have lunch before the tour.

In the afternoon: We will do the Cusco City Tour, visiting the Temple of the Sun, or Qoricancha, and the main nearby archaeological sites: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel and you will spend the night in Cusco.

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up in the morning and transfer you in our tourist transport to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where your guided visit will begin. You will start by visiting Pisac, with its picturesque handicraft market and archaeological complex, an important Inca agricultural center with terraces and constructions overlooking the valley. At midday, you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, and then continue on to Ollantaytambo, a famous Inca town that was one of the last strongholds of resistance against Spanish rule. On the way back to Cusco, you will stop in Chinchero, where you can visit its colonial church and traditional market. In the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel in Cusco, where you will spend the night. Overnight at a hotel in Cusco.

Day 03: Cusco – Machu Picchu Full Day

Early in the morning, you will leave Cusco by bus toward the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, you will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, enjoying the Andean landscape along the way. Upon arrival, you will take the bus that will take you up to the Machu Picchu citadel. Once in Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the most important points of the citadel; at each stop, you will have time to take photos and calmly enjoy the views. At the end of the visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then board the train back to Ollantaytambo and continue by bus to Cusco, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Day 04: Cusco – Puno (Route of the Sun)

After having a good breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the bus station to begin a tour that lasts approximately nine hours. You will have 4 excursions and guided visits to the main tourist attractions of the southern highlands corridor:

  • Visit to the church of Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”.
  • Visit to the Inca temple of Raqchi.
  • At midday in Sicuani: buffet lunch included in the tour.
  • Continuation of the tour up to La Raya (4,335 masl).
  • Visit to the Lithic Museum of Pucará.

At each place, you will have time to take photos, walk around calmly, and ask questions to the guide, making the trip a pleasant experience.

Upon arrival in Puno, our staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 05: Puno – Lake Titicaca (Uros & Taquile Islands)

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the port of Puno (Lake Titicaca), where you will board a boat to visit the floating Uros Islands for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. There, you will observe the customs of the islanders and their handicrafts. We will then continue our boat trip to visit Taquile Island, noted for its outstanding natural, ethnic, cultural, and archaeological beauty. We will return by boat to the port, where you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Puno.

Day 06: Puno – Chivay (Colca Canyon)

After breakfast at the hotel, departure from Puno to Chivay at approximately 6:15 AM. The drive takes about 6 hours to reach Chivay (the town where Colca Canyon is located), known for its religious celebrations, cultural heritage, and traditional festivities.

We will visit 3 sites along the way:

  • Lagunillas Lagoon
  • Pampa Cañahuas (Vicuña National Reserve)
  • Patapampa: Volcano Viewpoint (highest point)

Overnight in Chivay

Day 07: Chivay – Colca Canyon – Arequipa

After breakfast, departure to the “Cruz del Cóndor” (Cross of the Condor), where the canyon begins. From this viewpoint, you will be able to appreciate its depth. In this stunning landscape, you will also have the chance to see condors in their natural habitat.

After a brief stop at the “Cruz del Cóndor”, we will continue our journey along Colca Canyon, admiring the small villages of Pinchollo, Madrigal, Lari, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, and others.

We then return to Chivay for lunch and afterward head to Arequipa, ending the tour at around 5:00 PM.

Day 08: Arequipa City Tour – Nazca

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will pick you up to begin the tour of the “White City,” including:

Santa Catalina Convent: Without a doubt the jewel of Arequipa, it was opened to the public in 1970 after 400 years of cloister. It houses countless pieces of colonial art.

You will also visit the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the Jesuit cloisters, and the districts of Cayma and Yanahuara for a magnificent view of Misti Volcano, as well as a traditional colonial house known as the Founder’s Mansion.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore Arequipa on your own.

At night, we will transfer you to the bus station to board the bus to the city of Nazca (10-hour journey), traveling on a comfortable sleeper bus service.

Day 09: Nazca Lines Overflight – Ica

 Upon your arrival in Nazca, our staff will be waiting for you at the bus station to transfer you to the Nazca airport.

Once there, you will take a 45-minute flight over the Nazca Lines, where ancient pre-Inca cultures traced huge figures of animals and plants, such as the monkey, the spider, the hummingbird, the “astronaut,” among others.

In the afternoon, we will board the bus to the city of Ica (2-hour ride).

Day 10: Ica – Ballestas Islands – Huacachina

After breakfast, we will travel to the port of Paracas, where we will begin the tour to the Ballestas Islands, passing by the “Candelabro,” a giant geoglyph on the side of a hill.

Upon arrival at the Ballestas Islands, you will tour the different islands for about two hours, observing various species such as sea lions, fur seals, Humboldt penguins, and seabirds.

In the afternoon, after lunch, we head to the Huacachina Oasis, located just 5 km from downtown Ica. At this beautiful lagoon, visitors can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and stroll around the surroundings.

The huge dunes surrounding the lagoon allow visitors to practice one of the most exciting activities in the area: sandboarding.

Day 11: Ica – Lima

AM Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the bus station to take the bus from Ica to Lima (3–4 hours).
