It begins with an exciting downhill biking adventure from the Andes to the cloud forest, enjoying breathtaking landscapes along the way. The journey continues with hikes along ancient Inca trails, crossing rivers, coffee plantations, and local villages that preserve their traditions.

In the final stretch, you will arrive in Aguas Calientes to rest before visiting the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will discover the history and mysticism of this sacred site.

Itinerary Inka Jungle Trek 3 days

Day 1: Cusco – Santa María – Santa Teresa: Biking 55 km (Optional Rafting)

  • In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel at 7:15 AM and travel through the impressive Sacred Valley toward the charming town of Chinchero.
  • In the afternoon, get ready for an adrenaline rush! We will bike along an exciting 46 km trail, passing picturesque villages, lush valleys, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. Don’t worry—there will be plenty of stops for photos along the way.
  • Later in the afternoon, after a full day of adventure, we will arrive in the welcoming village of Santa María or Santa Teresa. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in a cozy lodge.

Day 2: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes: Trekking 16 km (Optional Zipline)

  • In the morning, wake up to a delicious breakfast and get ready for another exciting day. For thrill-seekers, an optional zipline adventure is available.
  • In the afternoon, embark on a 2.5-hour hike through lush green landscapes, passing beautiful waterfalls. Refresh yourself with a dip in one of the crystal-clear natural pools.
  • Next, explore an ancient Inca archaeological site featuring an impressive Intiwatana (sun clock). After your short visit, enjoy a relaxing lunch with views of the majestic reservoir.
  • Later in the afternoon, arrive in the charming town of Aguas Calientes, where you will check into your hotel and take time to refresh. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the vibrant local market filled with unique handicrafts and souvenirs.
  • Finally, enjoy a delicious dinner and a briefing about the next day’s tour to Machu Picchu. Rest well—tomorrow will be unforgettable!

Day 3: Machu Picchu

  • Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will board the bus to Machu Picchu. During the ascent, you’ll witness the sunrise emerging between the Andean mountains.
  • Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, exploring the main sectors and learning about the history, architecture, and cultural significance of this iconic Inca city.
  • It is important to remember that Machu Picchu is a protected Historical Sanctuary; therefore, each visitor must follow the circuit assigned on their ticket.
  • After the guided tour, you will have free time within your designated circuit to take photos and enjoy the stunning scenery. If you wish, you may hike Huayna Picchu Mountain (requires an additional ticket).
  • Finally, we will descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then continue to Cusco.
