Sites Peru offers you a trip to Machu Picchu by train from Poroy, 20 minutes from the city of Cusco by car. During the train journey you can delight the wonderful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and then enjoy your tour to Machu Picchu in private or small groups
Itinerary Machu Picchu full day from poroy
- 06:00 a.m.: Pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the train station in Poroy (20-minute journey)
- 6:40 a.m (at what time/ ¿a qué hora?): We will board the train to go to the town of “Aguas Calientes” for a 3 hour and 30 minute journey.
- Upon arrival at “Aguas Calientes”, you will be taken in order to board the bus from “Aguas Calientes” to Machu Picchu for a 25-minute drive.
- 10:20 Excursion to Machu Picchu for 2 hours.
- After the tour, you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own.
- After your visit, you can take the bus back to the town of “Aguas Calientes”.
- 15:20 p.m.: We will board the return train to Poroy and from there transfer to Cusco.
- Approximate time of arrival to Cusco: 07:50 p.m.
- Transfer to the hotel.
Dia1: Cusco – Poroy- Visit to Machupicchu – Poroy – Cusco
Your tour to Machu Picchu from Cusco starts with your pick up and transfer from your hotel to the train station in Poroy, about 20 minutes by car from the city of Cusco. The train from Poroy offers you a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a trip of three hours to the town of Aguas Calientes, here your guide will be waiting for you, then board the bus to the sacred city of the Incas.
During the 25-minute bus ride, you can observe the flora and fauna of the place.
Upon arrival in the sacred city, the excursion to Machu Picchu will begin during 2 guided hours. You will visit the main precincts of the city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, Inca cemeteries and more
At the end you will be given free time to visit Machu Picchu for a few more hours, you have the option to do the walk to the door of the sun or inka bridge. Then return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can take your food in one of the many tourist restaurants.
In the afternoon we will return by train to Poroy, where we will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
Your trip to Machu Picchu culminates with a nice memory from the travel agency Peru Sites.
