During this trip from Poroy to Machupicchu we can appreciate beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley and Inca ruins that are part of the Inca Trail. The next day very early climb to Machu Picchu, watch the sunrise, enjoy the guided tour, climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu and have an extraordinary view of Machu Picchu.
Itinerary Machu Picchu 2 days
Day 1:
- A.M Transfer from the hotel in Cusco to the train station in Poroy (trip car of about 25 min.).
- A.M One-way train trip from Cusco (Poroy) to “Aguas Calientes” (3 hours).
- Free day (Optional: visit of Thermal Baths).
- Informative meeting at your hotel for a visit to Machu Picchu.
- Night of hotel in “Aguas Calientes”.
Day 2:
- 05:30 a.m.: Bus ride to Machu Picchu (the upload time is optional).
- 06:00 a.m.: We’ll watch the dawn of Machu Picchu (the upload time is optional)
- Guided tour (2 hours approximately).
- Free time in Machu Picchu (Optional: climb to Huayna Picchu mountain).
- After finishing your visit, bus stop Machu Picchu – “Aguas Calientes” (you can take any of the buses).
- In the afternoon return by train from “Aguas Calientes” to Poroy.
- Pick-up and transfer by car from poroy to Cusco -hotel. (20 min).
- Complete the tour at 08:00 p.m.
Day 01: Cusco – Poroy – Aguas Calientes
A.M: Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the train station in Poroy, located just 25 minutes from Cusco, from here, the train trip will last about 3 hours to the town of “Aguas Calientes”. During the trip, you might see many peaks, glaciers, valleys and agricultural Inca terraces on both sides of the valley, you could also see many of the Inca ruins and km 82 where the Classic Inca Trail begins. Step by step, you will enter the jungle cape and the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2,000 meters above sea level), where a transfer manager of the hotel will pick you up and take you, then you will have the afternoon free and if you want, you can visit the hot springs, visit the Mandor Falls or climb the Putucusi mountain (all on your own).

Day 02: Machu Picchu Full Day – Cusco
On this day, we will wake up very early and after breakfast, we will board the first bus at 05:30 a.m., for a 30-minute journey arriving at the Citadel of Machu Picchu at 06:00 a.m. and so appreciate the majestic sunrise. We will have a guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to know the most important places of Machu Picchu (the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the most important “Intihuatana”, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, Houses, cellars and a large central square). After the tour, you will have free time of about 04 hours to visit Machu Picchu on your own (optional climb to Huayna Picchu mountain cost $20).
At the right time, we will descend from Machu Picchu to warm waters to board the train back to Cusco, approximate time of arrival to Cusco at 08:00 p.m.

- To climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, there is a limit of spaces per day, we recommend to request the ticket in advance.
- Once the tickets for the mountains are exhausted, there are not option to get a new ticket.
- The cost to climb Huaynapicchu or Machu Picchu mountain is $ 2.00 USD per person, it must be increased to the total cost of the tour package.
