Day 1: Km 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Inti Punku – Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Km 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Inti Punku – Aguas Calientes

Early in the morning, we will pick up passengers from their hotel in Cusco and transfer them by tourist transportation to the train station. There, we will board the train heading to km 104, the starting point of the Short Inca Trail. At km 104, the hike begins with the guide, first visiting the archaeological site of Chachabamba, then ascending along Andean trails to Wiñayhuayna, one of the most important archaeological complexes of the Inca Trail. During the hike, you will enjoy stunning landscapes, cloud forest vegetation, and views of the Urubamba River. In the afternoon, we will continue the hike to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where, if weather conditions allow, you will have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Then, we will descend to the entrance area and finally take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night at the designated hotel to rest.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

The next day, very early, we will take the bus up to Machu Picchu. The visit will follow the circuit assigned on your entrance ticket, always accompanied by the guide. During the tour, you will see the main points of the Inca citadel and have time at the viewpoints to take photos and enjoy the panoramic views. After the guided tour and the free time allowed by the circuit, we will descend again by bus to Aguas Calientes. At the scheduled time, you will board the return train and then the tourist transportation back to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
