Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Cusco – Abra Málaga – Santa María

Pickup of passengers from their hotel in Cusco in the morning to head toward the Sacred Valley, from where we will begin the ascent to Abra Málaga (4,320 m / 14,173 ft), located approximately 150 km from the city of Cusco. Here we will begin our mountain bike descent, enjoying an exciting adventure ride for several hours, covering dozens of kilometers until reaching our accommodation located at about 1,750 m / 5,741 ft. Along the way, we will observe the cloud forest with a beautiful panorama, full of vegetation, animals, and typical fruits of the area. Arrival at the accommodation, dinner, and briefing about the next day’s hike.

Day 02: Santa María – Santa Teresa

Breakfast at the accommodation, then we begin the hike along part of the original Inca Trail, walking through tropical landscapes, crossing rivers, and observing a great variety of flora and fauna. During the route, we will also see coffee, coca, and fruit plantations typical of the area. There is the option to participate in rafting on the Urubamba River (optional activity). After lunch, we continue the hike until reaching Santa Teresa, where we will spend the night at the accommodation. In the afternoon, you will have the option to visit the Cocalmayo hot springs (optional). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Santa Teresa – Llactapata – Aguas Calientes

After a good breakfast, we will take transport for a few minutes to the Lucmabamba sector, where we will begin our hike. This day we will walk for several hours along a perfectly preserved section of the Inca Trail, ascending between mountains and valleys until reaching the archaeological site of Llactapata (2,823 m / 9,262 ft), from where you will get a spectacular view of Machu Picchu in the distance. This day is a true jungle adventure, surrounded by nature, vegetation, orchids, fruit trees, rivers, and valleys, making it an unforgettable experience. Then we will descend to the Hydroelectric area (2,004 m / 6,575 ft), and from there continue walking along the railway to the town of Aguas Calientes. Hotel accommodation and dinner.

Day 04: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early breakfast at the hotel, then we will head on foot or by bus (according to the selected option) to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. We will enter the complex according to the circuit assigned on your ticket, taking a guided tour of the most important points: temples, ceremonial enclosures, agricultural sectors, and viewpoints, where you can take photos in the permitted areas. The guided tour will last approximately 2 to 3 hours, during which the professional bilingual guide will explain the history and significance of this impressive sanctuary. At the indicated time, we will descend again to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo and, from there, the tourist transport back to the city of Cusco.
