Detailed itinerary
Day 01: Reception in Cusco and City Tour
Upon arrival in Cusco, our staff will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, where you can enjoy a coca tea to help with the altitude.
In the afternoon, you will take the City Tour, visiting the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha and the main ruins on the outskirts of the city: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. At the end, return to your accommodation in Cusco.
Day 02: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes
We will depart to the Sacred Valley of the Incas heading to Pisac, where you will visit the artisan market and the archaeological complex with its terraces and panoramic views.
Then you will continue to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town and the boarding point for the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo, our staff will accompany you to your hotel, and in the evening you will receive a brief informative talk from the guide about the visit for the following day.
Day 03: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
After breakfast at the hotel, you will take the bus with your guide up to the Machu Picchu citadel, where you will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours according to the circuit assigned on your ticket, visiting the main sectors and having time for the classic panoramic photos.
Then you will descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch, and in the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
Optional: If you wish to include the hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain, you must reserve at least 4 months in advance and consider an additional cost of 75 USD per person, subject to availability.
Day 04: Cusco - Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) - Cusco
Very early in the morning, we will depart from your hotel in Cusco toward the Pitumarca area, enjoying Andean landscapes and local communities. You will have a light breakfast along the way, and then we will continue by vehicle to the Phullawasipata sector, the starting point of the hike.
From there, we will begin the ascent to the Rainbow Mountain, enjoying views of the mountain range, snow-capped peaks, and Andean wildlife. Once at the top, you will have time to appreciate the mountain’s colors, take photographs, and observe the Red Valley landscape.
Afterwards, we will begin the descent back to the starting point, where our transportation will take you to a local restaurant for lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
Optional: During the hike, you may directly hire horse service from local residents for the ascent (30 USD, subject to availability).
Day 05: Cusco - Return to Lima
