We depart early in the morning toward the Sacred Valley, arriving at the Lares hot springs, where we will have time to relax. After lunch, we will begin a hike of approximately 2 hours toward Waqawasi (3,800 m / 12,467 ft). Along the way, we will enjoy views of snow-capped mountains and the local flora and fauna. We will arrive at our first campsite for dinner and a cozy evening by the campfire.

Day 02: Waqawasi – Ipsayqocha – Patakancha

After a nutritious breakfast, we continue the hike to the highest point of the circuit, located at 4,450 m / 14,600 ft. The ascent is challenging, but the views of snow-capped mountains such as Pitusiray, Sawasiray, and Chicón make it completely worth the effort. Then we will descend to Ipsayqocha (4,100 m / 13,450 ft) for a picnic lunch and continue to Patacancha (3,600 m / 11,811 ft). This community keeps many Inca traditions alive, such as weaving and pottery. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 03: Willoq – Pumamarka – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, we will descend to the community of Willoq for lunch. Then we will hike for about 2 hours to Pumamarka, where we will observe Inca terraces. We will continue to Ollantaytambo, a fertile valley surrounded by towering mountains and archaeological remains. In the afternoon, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes and check in at the hotel.

Day 04: Machu Picchu

Very early in the morning, after breakfast, we will board the bus that will take us to the entrance of Machu Picchu. According to the ticket purchased, we will follow the assigned circuit, accompanied by a guided tour of approximately 3 hours through the main sectors of the sanctuary. After the guided tour, you will have free time within the permitted circuit to take photos and enjoy the site. If you wish, you can climb Huayna Picchu Mountain (optional, additional cost of USD 75), provided you have the corresponding ticket.
