This 6-day tour covers the main tourist destinations of southern Peru. It begins in Cusco with a city tour and visits to nearby archaeological sites. The journey continues through the Sacred Valley, visiting Pisac and Ollantaytambo before reaching Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel. You will then return to Cusco and travel to Puno by tourist bus, making stops at colonial temples and archaeological sites such as Raqchi. Finally, you will explore Lake Titicaca with a boat tour to the Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island before returning to Lima.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Lima – Cusco City Tour

We begin with a welcome at the Cusco airport. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your hotel, where you will have time to rest and calmly acclimate to the altitude.

In the afternoon, you will start a journey through the living history of Cusco by visiting the Qoricancha Temple, the former Inca religious center dedicated to the worship of the Sun. You will then continue to the impressive archaeological complexes of Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, located on the hills surrounding the city, from where you can also enjoy beautiful panoramic views.

At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour of the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be the archaeological site of Pisac, followed by a visit to the Pisac Market, where you will find handicrafts and local products. Continuing our journey, we will make a stop for a buffet lunch in Urubamba.

In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, where you will explore the Inca fortress and its impressive agricultural terraces. From the Ollantaytambo train station, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes (approximately 2 hours).

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Cusco

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to the bus station to board the transportation to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes.

Upon arrival, you will begin the guided tour according to the circuit assigned on your ticket, visiting the main areas of Machu Picchu, such as panoramic viewpoints, the agricultural sector with terraces, the Main Plaza, and the religious sector, where important ceremonial and royal structures are located. At the end of the visit, you will have free time to take photos and continue exploring on your own within the allowed schedule.

In the afternoon, you will descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to head to the train station and board the return service to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, transportation will take you back to the city of Cusco.

Day 4: Cusco – Puno by Tourist Bus

After breakfast, we will begin the journey to Puno with guided stops at:

  • Andahuaylillas: visit to the church known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”
  • Raqchi: archaeological complex featuring the Temple of Wiracocha
  • La Raya: the highest point of the route (4,335 meters above sea level)
  • Pukara: lithic museum with artifacts from the Pukara culture

Buffet lunch included in Sicuani. Arrival in Puno in the afternoon.

Day 5: Lake Titicaca – Uros and Taquile Islands

After breakfast, we will pick you up and head to the port. You will navigate Lake Titicaca to the Uros Floating Islands, where you will learn how this community lives on islands built from totora reeds.

You will then continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its textiles and traditions. Lunch is included on the island. You will have time to walk through the village and enjoy views of the lake.

Return to Puno in the afternoon.

Day 6: Transfer to Juliaca Airport – Lima

After breakfast, transfer to Juliaca Airport (1 hour from Puno) to take your flight
