On the first day, we will depart from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, where you will board a panoramic train bound for Aguas Calientes, enjoying impressive Andean landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, you will have the afternoon free to explore the town and relax at a comfortable hotel before the big experience the following day.
On the second day, early in the morning, we will take a bus up to Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy a guided tour through its temples, plazas, and terraces, discovering the history and mysticism of this Wonder of the World. After the visit, we will return by train to Ollantaytambo and finally back to Cusco, wrapping up an experience full of history, culture, and spectacular scenery.
Itinerary 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour
Day 01: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
Our tour to Machu Picchu begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival at the station, you will board the panoramic train to Machu Picchu; this service is ideal to enjoy the stunning Andean landscapes and take great photos along a unique route, until you reach the town of Machu Picchu, “Aguas Calientes”. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the town of Aguas Calientes and relax in the hot springs, located about 10 minutes away on foot. In the evening, your guide will visit you at the hotel to provide all the details for the next day’s tour.Day 02: Machu Picchu Tour – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
On this day, very early in the morning and after a buffet breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will pick you up to take one of the first buses to the Machu Picchu citadel so you can enjoy sunrise at the site. You will then have a guided tour of more than 2 hours, visiting the main areas of the Inca city such as the main square, temples, sacred enclosures and important viewpoints, where you will also have the chance to take the classic photos. Once the tour is over, you will take the bus back down to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.Including the activity
