Sibinacocha Lake Tour 1 Day

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time to begin our journey in tourist transportation. The route is approximately 134 km and has an average duration of three hours. During the trip, we will pass through the towns of Andahuaylillas and Urcos, where we can observe daily life and the landscapes of the area.

After passing Urcos, we will take the turnoff onto the South Interoceanic Highway, a fully paved road that will lead us to the community of Ocongate. At this point, we will make a brief stop to enjoy breakfast and use the restrooms. Then we will continue for approximately thirty more minutes by transport until reaching the community of Yanacancha, located near the lake and the starting point of our hike. Here we will have time to prepare, adjust our equipment, and get ready for the walk.

From Yanacancha, we will begin a hike of between forty-five minutes and one hour to the viewpoint of the Turquoise Lagoon of Sigrinacocha, also known as Sibinacocha. At the viewpoint, we will have time to rest, appreciate the lake, take photographs, and enjoy the surroundings.

Optionally, those who wish may continue walking for approximately thirty more minutes to reach the shores of Sibinacocha Lake. There we will have time to walk along the shore, explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy the place more peacefully.

After the visit, we will return by the same path to Yanacancha, where our transportation will be waiting to take us to the community of Pacchanta. In this place, we will enjoy the hot springs and have time to rest, in addition to receiving our box lunch.

Finally, we will begin the return journey along the same route to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 18:00 hours.
