Day 1: Cusco – Machu Picchu tour – Cusco

You begin your adventure to Machu Picchu with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, you will board a comfortable panoramic train, perfect for enjoying the Andean scenery, canyons, and sections of the famous Inca Trail as you travel to the town of Aguas Calientes, where your guide will be waiting to take the bus up to the Sacred City of the Incas. During the bus ascent, you will enjoy spectacular views of the lush mountains and the surroundings of the sanctuary.

Upon arrival at the Machu Picchu citadel, you will begin a guided tour lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours, visiting its most important areas: temples, plazas, ceremonial sites, agricultural terraces, and viewpoints from which you can appreciate the magnitude of the ancient Inca city. Your guide will help you understand the history, meaning, and purpose of these spaces, while you have time to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

You will then descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to enjoy lunch at one of its tourist restaurants.

In the afternoon, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo along the same panoramic route. Upon arrival at the station, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding a full day dedicated to discovering one of the wonders of the world.
