Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Quelccaya Glacier Tour – Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning to begin our journey in tourist transportation toward the south. The drive takes approximately five hours, passing through rural landscapes and small local communities until we reach the Phinaya area, where we will make a short stop for breakfast and to use the restrooms.
We then continue by vehicle to the starting point of the hike, where we begin an approximately one-and-a-half-hour walk along a gently sloping trail. During the hike, you will be able to observe the natural surroundings and the area near the glacier.
Upon reaching the Quelccaya Glacier viewpoint, you will have time to rest, take photographs, and admire the ice, mountains, and nearby glacial lagoons. Your guide will provide information about the glacier and its importance to the region.
After some free time, we will return along the same trail to the vehicle and head back to Phinaya, where you will enjoy a box lunch.
Finally, we begin our return journey to the city of Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon.
