Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Cusco and Archaeological City Tour

Your journey begins with the flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival at the airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. A short rest is recommended, along with a cup of coca tea to help with acclimatization to the altitude (3,400 m / 11,150 ft above sea level). In the afternoon, we will begin the city tour and surrounding areas. We will visit the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the greatest expression of Inca religious architecture, and then head outside the city to explore the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, famous for its massive stone blocks. The tour continues with the ceremonial centers of Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, where the guide will explain the historical and architectural significance of each site. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco

Day 02: Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station. You will travel by train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town), enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley.

Upon arrival, you will board the eco-friendly bus that ascends to the entrance of the citadel. Once in Machu Picchu, you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the main temples, plazas, and terraces.

After the guided visit, we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (on your own) and wait for the return train to Ollantaytambo, where private transportation will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Overnight at the hotel in Cusco

Optional Huayna Picchu Mountain entrance (additional cost USD 75, must be booked 4 months in advance).

Day 03: Cusco – Puno: Route of the Sun

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the bus station to begin the tourist journey to Puno. Unlike a regular bus, this service includes guided stops along the route. First, you will visit the church of Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its colonial murals. Then, we will visit the archaeological complex of Raqchi (Temple of Wiracocha). We will make a stop in Sicuani for a buffet lunch featuring local cuisine. In the afternoon, we will visit La Raya, the highest point of the route (4,335 m / 14,222 ft above sea level) and the border between Cusco and Puno, finishing with a visit to the Pukara Lithic Museum. Arrival in Puno at sunset and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Puno

Day 04: Puno – Lake Titicaca – Uros and Taquile Islands

After breakfast, we will head to the port of Puno to board a motorboat and navigate Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The first stop will be the Uros Floating Islands, where you will learn how this community builds its islands and homes using totora reeds. We will then continue sailing to Taquile Island, famous for the quality of its textiles (recognized as World Heritage). Here, we will enjoy a walk to take in the lake views and learn about local customs. In the afternoon, we will return by boat to the city of Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight at the hotel in Puno

Day 05: Puno – Sillustani – Juliaca Airport

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. On the way to the airport, we will make a strategic visit to the Sillustani Chullpas, a pre-Inca and Inca cemetery featuring impressive funerary towers located beside Lake Umayo. At the end of the tour, transportation will drop you off directly at Juliaca Airport (JUL) for check-in for your return flight to Lima (approximate duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes).

End of our services.
