Classic Inca Trail Tour Itinerary (4 Days)
- Day 1: Cusco – Inca Trail Km 82 – Wayllabamba.
- Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayu.
- Day 3: Pacaymayu – Runkurakay – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Wayna.
- Day 4: Wiñay Wayna – Intipunku – Machu Picchu – Cusco.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco - Inca Trail Km 82 - Wayllabamba
- Meals: Lunch and dinner
Day 2: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayu
After breakfast, we will begin the most challenging ascent of the trek toward Warmiwañusca, known as Dead Woman’s Pass, the highest point of the entire Inca Trail at 4,200 m (13,780 ft). The ascent takes approximately 3 hours.
From the summit, you will enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountain range. We will then begin the descent to the Pacaymayu campsite. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Pacaymayu - Runkurakay - Phuyupatamarca - Wiñay Wayna
After breakfast, we will ascend to Runkurakay Pass at 4,000 m (13,123 ft), where we will visit the archaeological sites of Runkurakay and Sayacmarca with a guided tour. We will continue toward Phuyupatamarca, another important archaeological site, where lunch will be served.
In the afternoon, we will descend to Wiñay Wayna, where we will have a guided tour of the ruins. Camp setup. This will be the final campsite before reaching Machu Picchu. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Wiñay Wayna - Intipunku - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early departure after breakfast to arrive on time to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu. After about 1 hour of hiking, we will pass through Intipunku (Sun Gate), the traditional entrance to Machu Picchu, where you will have the most impressive panoramic view of the entire citadel.
We will descend to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the main sectors of the citadel. Free time to continue exploring on your own before descending by bus to Aguas Calientes.
In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
