Itinerary Lares to Machu Picchu 4 days
Day 01: Cusco – Calca – Lares – Waqawasi
We leave early in the morning toward the Sacred Valley, arriving at the Lares hot springs, where we will have time to relax. After lunch, we begin a hike of approximately 2 hours toward Waqawasi (3,800 m). Along the way, we will enjoy views of snow-capped peaks and the local flora and fauna. We will arrive at our first campsite for dinner and a nighttime campfire.Day 02: Waqawasi – Ipsayqocha – Patakancha
After a nutritious breakfast, we continue the hike toward the highest point of the circuit, located at 4,450 m. The ascent is demanding, but the views of mountains such as Pitusiray, Sawasiray, and Chicón make the effort worthwhile. We then descend to Ipsayqocha (4,100 m) for a picnic lunch and continue toward Patakancha (3,600 m). This community preserves many Inca traditions such as weaving and pottery. Dinner and overnight at camp.Day 03: Willoq – Pumamarka – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, we descend toward the community of Willoq, where we will have lunch. Then we continue walking for about 2 hours to reach Pumamarka, where we can see Inca terraces. We continue toward Ollantaytambo, a fertile valley surrounded by large mountains and archaeological remains. In the afternoon, we board the train to Aguas Calientes and settle into the hotel.Day 04: Machu Picchu
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. According to the ticket purchased, we will follow the assigned circuit, accompanied by a guided tour of approximately 3 hours through the main areas of the sanctuary. After the guided tour, you will have free time within the permitted circuit to take photos and enjoy the site. If you wish, you may climb Huayna Picchu Mountain (optional, additional cost of US$ 75), provided you have the required entrance ticket. At the end of the visit, we descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then continue to Cusco. End of services.Including the activity
