Itinerary Classic Inca Trail Tour – 4 Days
Day 1: Cusco – Inca Trail Km 82 – Wayllabamba
Pick-up from your hotel at 6:00 AM and transfer by tourist transportation to Km 82, the starting point of the Inca Trail. The drive takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, passing through the Sacred Valley and the town of Ollantaytambo.
Upon arrival at Km 82 (Piscacucho), you will meet the team of porters and cooks who will accompany the expedition. We begin the trek following the Urubamba River along relatively flat terrain. After about 2 hours, we will arrive at Miskay for lunch.
In the afternoon, we continue toward Patallacta, the first archaeological site of the trek, with views of Mount Verónica (5,900 m.a.s.l.). We then reach Wayllabamba to set up the first campsite. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo
After breakfast, we begin the most challenging ascent of the trek toward Warmiwañusca, known as the Dead Woman’s Pass, the highest point of the entire Inca Trail at 4,200 m.a.s.l. The ascent takes approximately 3 hours.
From the summit, you will enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges. We then begin the descent to the Pacaymayo campsite. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Runkurakay – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Wayna
After breakfast, we ascend to the Runkurakay Pass at 4,000 m.a.s.l., where we visit the Runkurakay ruins as well as Sayacmarca, with a guided tour. We continue toward Phuyupatamarca, another important archaeological site, where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon, we descend toward Wiñay Wayna, where we will enjoy a guided visit of the ruins. We set up our campsite here. This is the final campsite before reaching Machu Picchu. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Wiñay Wayna – Intipunku – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Early departure after breakfast to arrive in time to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu. After about 1 hour of hiking, we reach Intipunku (Sun Gate), the traditional entrance to Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy the most breathtaking panoramic view of the entire citadel.
We descend to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the main sectors of the citadel. Free time to continue exploring on your own before taking the bus down to Aguas Calientes.
In the afternoon, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco at night and transfer to your hotel.
