Itinerary Cusco & Machu Picchu 6-Day Tour

Day 01: Arrival in Cusco – City Tour

Upon your arrival in Cusco, our team will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. There, you may enjoy a coca tea to help with acclimatization and relax before beginning your adventure. In the afternoon, we will take the City Tour, visiting the Temple of the Sun or Coricancha and the nearby archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, all known for their remarkable architecture and ceremonial importance. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel to rest.

Day 02: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes

Today we will explore the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas. We begin by visiting the town of Pisaq and its artisan market, followed by the Pisaq archaeological site, famous for its agricultural terraces and impressive views. We then continue to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch. Afterward, we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, one of the last strongholds of Inca resistance. Once the tour concludes, your guide will accompany you to the train station to board your train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying unique landscapes throughout the journey. In the afternoon, you will receive an informative briefing about your visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 03: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Tour – Return to Cusco

After breakfast, from the town of Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus with your guide toward the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, where your visit will begin according to the time indicated on your ticket. During the tour, your guide will take you through the main points of interest of the Inca citadel, including panoramic viewpoints, temples, and important ceremonial areas. At each stop, you will have time to pose and take photographs in the most iconic spots of Machu Picchu, capturing the best views of this world wonder. After the guided tour, we will head back down to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 04: Cusco – Maras, Moray

Today we will visit the impressive archaeological sites of Maras and Moray. In Moray, you will see the famous circular terraces used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory. We will then continue to the picturesque village of Maras and later to the Salt Mines, a complex of more than 3,000 salt ponds that create a unique landscape. The afternoon will be free in Cusco for shopping, sightseeing, or simply relaxing. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Cusco – South Valley

In the morning, we will visit the South Valley, starting with Tipón, known as the Temple of Water due to its advanced Inca hydraulic engineering. We will then continue to Pikillaqta, an important pre-Inca archaeological complex belonging to the Wari culture. Finally, we will visit the Church of Andahuaylillas, considered the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its impressive baroque artwork. The afternoon will be free to explore museums in the historic center or attend a traditional dance performance at the Qosqo Center of Native Art. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Cusco – Return to Lima

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up and transfer you to the airport, where you will board your flight back to Lima. End of services.
