This 10-day tour connects Peru’s main destinations from the coast to the Andes. You’ll explore Lima, sail around the Ballestas Islands, visit the Huacachina oasis, fly over the Nazca Lines, discover Cusco and the Sacred Valley, explore Machu Picchu, hike to Rainbow Mountain, and cruise on Lake Titicaca. The tour includes transfers, domestic flights, trains, and accommodations.

Itinerary Tour Lima, Ica, Nasca, Cusco and Puno 10 days

Day 1: Lima – City Tour

Arrival in Lima and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, tour of the historic center visiting the Main Square, Lima Cathedral, and the Convent of San Francisco with its colonial catacombs.

Day 2: Paracas, Ballestas Islands and Huacachina

Early departure to Paracas. Boat tour to the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and seabirds. Along the way you will see the Candelabra, a geoglyph traced in the sand. Breakfast in Paracas (not included).

Continue to Ica. Afternoon at the Huacachina oasis with a buggy ride over the dunes and the option to go sandboarding.

Day 3: Nazca Lines Flight – Lima

Morning transfer to Nazca. Scenic flight over the Nazca Lines to see the geoglyphs drawn in the desert: the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider, and other figures that can only be appreciated from the air. Lunch before the return drive to Lima.

Day 4: Lima – Cusco – City Tour

Flight to Cusco. Transfer to the hotel with a welcome coca tea to help with acclimatization. In the afternoon, city tour visiting Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, Sacsayhuaman with its carved stone blocks, Cristo Blanco with its panoramic view of the city, and San Pedro Market.

Day 5: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Full-day tour of the Sacred Valley. Visit Chinchero to learn about ancestral weaving techniques. Continue to Moray, with its circular terraces that functioned as an Inca agricultural laboratory, and to the Maras salt mines, with thousands of salt pools worked since pre-Inca times.

Lunch in Urubamba. Visit Ollantaytambo, a town that preserves its Inca urban layout and its fortress built with stone blocks transported from the surrounding mountains.

Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Meeting with the guide to coordinate the next day’s visit.

Day 6: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel. Bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel. Guided tour through the temples, plazas, and agricultural terraces of this 15th-century Inca sanctuary. You will visit the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana (sun clock), the Temple of the Three Windows, and the residential areas.

After the tour, free time to explore on your own: visit the Inca Bridge, hike Huayna Picchu (with pre-booked ticket), or simply enjoy the views.

Lunch in Aguas Calientes (not included). Return train to Ollantaytambo and ground transportation back to Cusco.

Day 7: Rainbow Mountain

Early departure toward the Ausangate mountain range. Breakfast in Pitumarca (4,500 masl) before starting the hike.

Hike ascending to 5,100 meters. The trail crosses Andean landscapes until reaching Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), a geological formation where minerals create colorful bands ranging from red to turquoise. Option to rent horses for the ascent (not included).

Time at the summit for photos before descending. Lunch included before returning to Cusco.

Day 8: Route of the Sun – Cusco to Puno

Breakfast at the hotel. Journey by road with stops at key sites: Andahuaylillas with its colonial church known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas,” the Inca temple of Raqchi, La Raya Pass at 4,335 meters with views of the mountain range, and the Pukara Museum. Arrival in Puno.

Day 9: Lake Titicaca – Uros and Taquile Islands

Boat ride on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the floating Uros Islands, built from totora reeds, where you will learn about the local way of life.

Continue to Taquile Island to explore its agricultural terraces and learn about the community’s textile traditions. Traditional lunch included. Return to Puno.

Day 10: Puno – Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Juliaca Airport for your flight to Lima.
