This 10-day journey covers Peru’s main destinations, combining the historical richness of the Andean highlands with the highlights of the southern coast. The tour begins in Lima and continues to Cusco, where you will visit the imperial city, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. You will then hike to the Rainbow Mountain and travel along the Route of the Sun to Puno to navigate Lake Titicaca. On the return to Lima, you will explore the Ballestas Islands, the Huacachina oasis, and fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. The package includes domestic flights, transfers, train to Machu Picchu, and accommodation throughout the entire journey.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lima – Lima to Cusco flight
In the morning, after your arrival in Lima, you will take a flight to the city of Cusco, where we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. You will be welcomed with a traditional coca tea to help with acclimatization. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a city tour visiting Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, Sacsayhuamán with its impressive carved stone blocks, the White Christ statue with a panoramic view of the city, and the San Pedro Market.

Day 2: Cusco hotel – Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes
A complete tour of the Sacred Valley. Visit to Chinchero to learn about ancestral weaving techniques. Continue to Moray, with its circular terraces that functioned as an Inca agricultural laboratory, and the Maras Salt Mines, featuring thousands of salt pools that have been used since pre-Inca times.
Lunch in Urubamba. Visit to Ollantaytambo, a town that preserves its original Inca urban layout and fortress built with massive stone blocks transported from the surrounding mountains.
Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Meeting with the guide to coordinate the visit for the following day.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Bus ride to the Machu Picchu citadel. Guided tour visiting the temples, plazas, and agricultural terraces of this 15th-century Inca sanctuary. You will explore sacred temples and other important areas of the site.
You will have time to take photos of the places you visit. If you have an additional entrance ticket, you will also have time to hike Huayna Picchu (optional entrance fee: USD 75). At the end of the visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes.
You will have free time for lunch in Aguas Calientes (not included), followed by the train back to Ollantaytambo and tourist transportation to Cusco.

Day 4: Rainbow Mountain – Cusco
Early morning departure from your hotel toward the Ausangate mountain range. Breakfast in Pitumarca (4,500 m / 14,764 ft) before starting the hike.
The hike ascends to 5,100 meters (16,732 ft). The trail crosses impressive Andean landscapes until reaching Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), a geological formation where minerals create colorful stripes ranging from red to turquoise. Horse rental is available for the ascent (not included).
Time at the summit for photos before descending. Lunch is included before returning to Cusco.

Day 05: Route of the Sun: Cusco – Puno
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a road journey with stops at representative sites: Andahuaylillas, home to its colonial church known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas”; the Inca temple of Raqchi; the La Raya Pass at 4,335 meters (14,222 ft) with views of the mountain range; and the Pukara Museum. Arrival in Puno.

Day 06: Lake Titicaca – Puno hotel
Your tour begins with a boat navigation on Lake Titicaca, known as the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the floating Uros Islands, built from totora reeds, where you will learn about the traditional way of life of their inhabitants.
Continue to Taquile Island to explore its agricultural terraces and discover the community’s textile traditions. A traditional lunch is included. Return to Puno.

Day 07: Juliaca – Lima flight – hotel transfer – Lima City Tour (afternoon)
In the morning, after breakfast, you will take a flight from Juliaca to Lima.
Arrival in Lima and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the historic center, visiting the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), Lima Cathedral, and the San Francisco Convent with its colonial catacombs.

Day 08: Ballestas Islands & Huacachina Tour – Lima hotel
Early departure to Paracas. Boat navigation to the Ballestas Islands to observe sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and seabirds. During the journey, you will also see the Candelabra, a large geoglyph etched into the sand. Breakfast in Paracas (not included).
Continue to Ica. Afternoon at the Huacachina Oasis with a dune buggy ride and optional sandboarding.

Day 09: Nazca Lines overflight – Lima
Morning transfer to Nazca. Scenic flight over the Nazca Lines to observe the geoglyphs etched into the desert, including the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider, and other figures that can only be fully appreciated from the air. Lunch before the overland return to Lima.
