From here, we begin the hike ascending through puna landscapes toward the Sicllaccasa pass (4020 m / 13,189 ft). Then we continue along the trail leading to the Queullococha pass (4185 m / 13,730 ft), from where you can enjoy views of the lagoon of the same name and the Verónica, Pitusiray, Chicón, and San Juan mountains.

Later, we reach the Rumicruz pass (4230 m / 13,878 ft) and, after a rest and lunch along the way, we descend toward the community of Pucamarca (3600 m / 11,811 ft) and then continue to Huchuy Qosqo, where the campsite is located.

Day 2: Huchuy Qosqo - Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu

After breakfast, we will visit the ruins of Huchuy Qosqo, the residence of the Inca Wiracocha, a beautiful Inca archaeological complex with impressive architecture and a large open ceremonial center, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley, the Vilcanota River, and the mountains of the Urubamba mountain range.
Then we will descend to the village of Lamay (3000 m / 9,843 ft), and after lunch, we will continue by transport to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
